"Forrest" and "Ash" are the titles of the two large oil paintings the images of which are taken from the artists own photographic archive compiled on his travels in Europe and Africa. The consciously manipulated subjects give life to compositions of natural subjects (trees, flowers) the atmosphere of which is cool and rarefied almost a cloned nature. "Heavens" on the other hand is the title of a large wall-paper where a cloudy sky, slashed with an intense blue, acts as a background to an arrangement of flowers placed at the foot of the work. The sleek and minimal beauty transmitted by this work is the cardinal element of Munro Galloway’s aesthetic investigation. Angelo Bianco
